“Continuity Planning for Businesses” Toolkit
This toolkit is designed to guide businesses in undertaking a comprehensive Business Continuity Planning process as a means to ensure their business’ capacity to minimise the effects of a disruption to their services and operations. This process allows the business to identify their critical business functions, likely risks and potential impacts on those functions, as well as develop response strategies and recovery action plans to best preserve or restore those functions.

This Base Toolkit serves as a foundation for business continuity planning, which provides a framework that helps ensure your business’ capacity to continue delivering services to your customers in the event of an unplanned disruption or emergency situation.
This template outlines the six (6) steps of the Business Continuity Planning process:
- Business Risk Assessment;
- Business Operational Analysis;
- Business Impact Analysis;
- Business Continuity Response Strategy;
- Business Continuity Recovery Action Plan; and,
- Training, Testing and Review.
